Three talented PR students from our University are awarded the Claire Mascall PR Prize each year, providing them with invaluable industry placements and bursaries to assist with the expenses of those placements, in honour of Claire Mascall who was a pioneering woman in the corporate PR world.
During her career, Claire worked at a diverse range of organisations, from British Nuclear Fuels to the London Stock Exchange, which she left to establish a highly successful consultancy with her husband Graham Rimmer. The Prize is awarded each year to Leeds Beckett University students on behalf of Graham in her memory.
In 2016/17, the Claire Mascall PR Prize will award three industry placements and bursaries to cover expenses to the three top performers in PR subjects at our University. The placements for 2016/17 are:
- A two week placement with Golin in London
- A one week placement with MCG PR in Leeds
- A one week placement with Leeds Beckett University’s Communications Team
