MSc Responsible Tourism Management student wins ATHE Best PG Student Award
Daniela Schoeb, a recent graduate from the Responsible Tourism Management MSc at Leeds Beckett University has just been awarded ATHE Best PG Student for 2019.
Daniela demonstrated outstanding performance on the MSc, graduating in July 2019 with a Distinction. For these achievements she was awarded the Dean’s Prize for outstanding performance.
Her commitment to her career in tourism and sustainable tourism in particular is exemplary. In the duration of her studies she was promoted to Quality and Sustainability Manager at Zurich Tourism. She is responsible for internal process and quality management according to ISO 9001, environmental management according to ISO 14001 and Swiss Quality Seal (QIII); conception and implementation of sustainability strategy; setup and lead internal sustainability circle; quality and sustainability training for employees and tourism stakeholders; she is also a member of the panel on sustainable tourism in Switzerland.
Her dissertation explored the Enabling Conditions for Implementing the Sustainable Development Goals in the Swiss Tourism Industry.
