This growth is to be supported in 2015 by a new structure to the Well Met team, which will see the implementation of two new Conference Host positions. The new Hosts will manage and oversee operational activity in the award-winning urban and parkland venues at the university, providing a single point of contact from the point of booking to the day of the event. Two of Well Met’s current team will move from the position of Sales Officer into the new Conference Host posts.
Kate Davis, Head of Business Development for Campus and Residential Services at Leeds Beckett University comments:
“Excellent customer service is the cornerstone of Well Met’s brand, and I have no doubt that it is our level of service and attention to detail which has led to the growth we’ve experienced. As such, it is of paramount importance that as our business grows our team changes and develops too. The new Conference Host positions will make the booking experience even smoother for our customers, allowing us to tailor our service for the growing demand."
In 2014, Well Met invested in the catering offering and recruited a Food and Beverage Manager, Sharon Swales and Executive Chef, David Parker who are working together to develop the conferencing offering at the University. As food continues to be one of the top 10 factors influencing venues and destination selection for conference delegates, the team at Well Met continues to work to surpass expectations, with a focus on tastings and innovative, seasonal menus.
Forthcoming events for in 2015 include Welcome to Yorkshire’s first ever Tour de Yorkshire taking place in the county in May, Well Met welcomes the return of Teach First’s prestigious Summer Institute to the University in July, plus Leeds hosts the Rugby World Cup 2015 in September, with Leeds Beckett University providing the official training venue for the Scotland Rugby Team.
