National Recognition for Well Met Conferencing Events Officer

Well Met Conferencing’s Conference and Events Officer, Gemma Gore, was presented with a conference accolade at the miaList Awards yesterday.

Gemma was awarded a Meetings Industry Association (MiA) certificate of achievement for Customer Service at the 25th Annual miaList Awards Lunch at London’s Park Plaza Riverbank Hotel on 28 September 2015.

The Awards celebrate the hard work, commitment and dedication of individuals in the events industry; recognising their efforts, with categories for Conference, Front of House, Food and Beverage, Sales and Marketing, Support People and Housekeeping, along with Leadership, Rising Star and Team of the Year awards.

Gemma was firstly nominated by her peers as a result of her hard work and commitment to customer service before being shortlisted for the final awards. After much deliberation and consideration from the judges, she narrowly missed out on the top award, but the judges decided that she deserved a special commendation for her commitment to the industry.

Gemma Gore, Conference and Events Officer for Well Met Conferencing commented:

“I’m absolutely over the moon! It’s amazing to be recognised by your colleagues, and even more so for highly respected professionals in the industry to acknowledge your efforts. I feel that this commendation is the perfect recognition of my commitment to the conference world, and to a job that I love. I can’t stop smiling at the moment!”

Kate Davis, Head of Business Development at Leeds Beckett University said:

“This certificate is a testament to Gemma’s work ethic and incredible commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. She is such a fantastic part of the team’s success, which has included winning AiM Gold for its delivery of excellence in customer service. We put her forward for the award to recognise her efforts, and are delighted that she has received this recognition.”
