Medici Enterprise Training Programme

The Medici Enterprise Programme is aimed at academic staff and researchers who are interested in developing their business and enterprise skills, growing their capacity to engage with business and realizing the commercial potential of their research.

This prestigious programme has been developed with the University of Birmingham who have successfully trained over 300 entrepreneurial academic/research staff across all specialisms in the last 13 years.

The training is designed to give delegates an introduction to a wide range of business areas, providing them with a better understanding of how the business world works and allowing them to engage in their own particular commercial project with more confidence and professionalism.

The course covers the essentials of business (strategy, business planning, finance, marketing and Intellectual Property rights) and will develop key enterprise skills (networking, sales, negotiation and pitching for business).

The cost of the programme is £400 to cover catering and accommodation (the cost to external delegates is £2000)

Dates for the 2017 programme are:

  • 24th and 25th January
  • 14th and 15th March
  • 2nd and 3rd May (residential)
