Our dedicated Employment Team offers expert advice and a host of resources to help you choose and gain employment.

Whether you're in your first or final year, you can speak to members of staff from our Employment Office who can offer you advice  from writing a CV to searching for jobs.

  • Writing a CV
    Learn how to write a CV that reflects your skills and experience using our feedback and interactive services.
  • Interview skills
    Our Employment Team will prepare you for interview using a  range of resources that include a collection of short videos, regular workshops, and our interactive interview training.
  • Part-time work
    Our Job Shop can provide part-time work while you study from  keen regional employers. Students can register for these opportunities online at MyHub. In a typical academic year we provided over 160,000 hours of paid work to support our students financially with their studies and gain valuable transferable skills.
  • After you graduate
    Maybe you have a clear idea of the career path you want to follow or perhaps you're still unsure. Either way, it's worth talking to our Employments Team who can help guide your future direction and advise on further study choices if appropriate. If you want to take a look at our latest graduate positions and internships just register at MyHub. Many of our students also find jobs and employer contacts through graduate fairs and bodies such as Graduates Yorkshire, TotalJobs, Graduate Jobs, Milkround, and Graduate TalentPool.
  • Enterprise Skills and Setting up a Business
    Attend online modules and face to face workshops to boost your enterprise skills to showcase to future employers or talk to us  about setting up your own business and we will give you all the help and support you need to get you up and running.
  • Employer engagement
    Leeds Beckett has built close relationships with a wide range of employers who are able to offer work experience or internships. These local, national, and global employers are keen to benefit from our pool of talented students and graduates. Job Shop is employer-friendly with FREE graduate and part-time job advertising on our MyHub service.
