Graduate Opportunities

It’s never too early to start preparing for your future career. Here at Leeds Beckett we aim to embed employability into the student journey from day one, so you are ready to take that next step once you graduate. Making the most of opportunities available to you throughout your degree, is the best way to ensure you are equipped with the skills, knowledge and experience to realise your career ambitions and reach your potential.

Connecting with employers

Connecting with employers - throughout your degree - is an excellent way to help prepare yourself for a graduate job. It can help you to understand the graduate labour market, make industry contacts and see how you can apply the skills from your degree in a professional setting.

We work closely with both local and national organisations and regularly welcome employers on to campus for events, workshops, project work and as part of the curriculum.

Here’s a few of the opportunities we’ve delivered to connect you with employers this year:

  • Conferences
  • Networking Events
  • Insight Days
  • Presentations
  • Industry Talks
  • Hackathon
  • Jobs Market Place Events
  • Project Briefs
  • Mentoring

Our connection to industry allows us to gain insight on what employers are looking for in their graduates and ensure that you have access to the most up to date employer information to help you secure a graduate job!

Get Hired

Get Hired is student toolkit we have developed to help prepare you for finding a graduate job and ensuring you have the skills you need to become a successful candidate.

As part of Get Hired, you can access a whole range of resources and activities from mock assessment centres and online tests, to employer profiles with insider tips - everything you need to ace the selection process and ‘get hired’!

Graduate Talent Pool

Our Graduate Talent Pool is another great way to connect with employers and secure a graduate job once you finish university. It’s an exclusive opportunity for our final year students, who can sign up to receive one to one support to help them leave university with a graduate job. Depending on what you want to do when you graduate, we may even be able to connect you with our employer contacts and help match you with suitable roles.

My Hub
My Hub, our online student system, is an excellent place to look for graduate vacancies. We are connected with a variety of local, national and global employers who regularly use My Hub to promote their graduate opportunities to Leeds Beckett students. Make a point of checking My Hub regularly to ensure you can make the most of all it has to offer.
