Part-Time Work

Part-time work is a great way to earn money and gain work experience that fits around your studies. If you decide to get a part-time job, there is plenty of support available to help you get job ready and access a range of opportunities to suit your skills and interests.

My Hub
My Hub, our online student system, is a good place to start when looking for part-time vacancies. We are connected with a variety of local employers who regularly use My Hub to promote their job opportunities to Leeds Beckett students. This includes part-time work, graduate jobs, placements and volunteering. Make a point of checking My Hub regularly to ensure you can make the most of all it has to offer.

Part-Time Jobs Fair
Our annual Part-time Jobs Fair takes place in September - ideal timing for those of you who want to start the new academic year with a part-time job. The fair provides a great chance to meet a number of employers in one place and find out about their available opportunities. As always, our Careers staff will be available throughout the fair to give you tips on how to make a great impression with employers. We can also help you with your CV, application form or interview technique to help you become a successful applicant.

Job Shop
The Job Shop is our in house recruitment agency, owned and run by Leeds Beckett. It’s an incredibly valuable resource for providing students and graduates with paid casual work, full time temporary work and long term graduate roles.

The Job Shop is exclusive to Leeds Beckett students and graduates and our alumni are able to access support for up to 5 years after graduation.

We recruit for our Job Shop ‘Talent Pool’ three times a year. By signing up to our Talent Pool, you can access a variety of casual hourly paid roles across our university and with our external partners in local businesses. Hours are varied and flexible, which is ideal for fitting around your studies.

Towards the end of the academic year (May/June), our Talent Pool focus expands to include more graduate positions so we can support our students in finding graduate roles.
