CeASR Seminar: Cognitive Neuroscience of Deception and Lie Detection

Guest Speaker: Dr Giorgio Ganis - Associate Professor (Reader) in Cognitive Neuroscience, Plymouth University

Deception is a pervasive phenomenon with potentially serious negative consequences for people and societies. In this talk, I will review and discuss recent findings on the cognitive neuroscience of deception and on potential implications for novel lie detection methods, with an emphasis on their current limitations.
