Edinburgh 2018: 'Richard Demarco and Leeds Beckett University'
Leeds Beckett University is putting on a number of 'interventions' and performance pieces at Summerhall during the Edinburgh Festival and in conjunction with the Richard Demarco European Art Foundation.
The Richard Demarco Archive in Edinburgh is a manifestation of collaborations through friendship with many thousands of artists, poets, writers, composers, dancers, actors and this year Leeds Beckett University has been invited to stage a number of 'interventions' at Summerhall during the Edinburgh Festival. Richard’s connections with Leeds Beckett University go back over a number of years, and this week’s work is an example of material inspired by his expertise and enthusiasms.
Amongst the work being put on are pieces which have been developed as part of the CINAGE project which works with older generations in order to express their lived experiences with film and performance.
