Performing Arts Showcase at Seven Arts


A showcase of work from first, second and third year undergraduate performing arts students from Leeds Beckett University.

Tuesday 11 December 

First year students from our BA (Hons) Performing Arts will be showing their work and second year students from all three undergraduate performing arts courses will be performing worked developed on the Collaboration Module.

Wednesday 12 December 

‘A Series of Effects' by BA (Hons) Theatre and Performance

This performance is the culmination of work undertaken by students on the Performance Strategies 1, and Performance Cultures 1 module. It is a multi-disciplinary devised performance work, inspired by critically acclaimed 2012 play The Effect by Lucy Prebble. During the making of this new performance, the students have been inspired by the making strategies of four companies: Forced Entertainment, Goat Island, Third Angel Theatre and RashDash.

This collection of moments was developed by third-year BA (Hons)Performance students studying on the Pilot Project module in collaboration with Natalie Bellingham from Uncanny Theatre.
