SoBEE Seminar Series: Assessing the Quality of Retrofits in Solid Wall Dwellings

SoBEE Seminar Series: Assessing the Quality of Retrofits in Solid Wall Dwellings presented by Dr David Glew from the Leeds Sustainability Institute based at the School of Built Environment and Engineering

SoBEE Seminars are held fortnightly on Wednesdays at 12:00, and will be an opportunity to hear and discuss the school’s research outputs, and to learn how SoBEE staff can get involved in future research and contribute to the REF. The SoBEE seminars will consist of a 20-minute presentation, plus an additional 5 minutes for questions, by a member of SoBEE staff, either on a recently published research paper or on a specific research project that they are working on.

It will also be an opportunity for SoBEE doctoral students to present their PhD projects to peers. Following the presentation there will also be a 5-minute slot allocated to keeping staff abreast of all REF related issues and strategy. After this we will provide tea and coffee as a chance to discuss potential further work and generally mingle and cake will be on sale, with proceeds going towards Macmillan Cancer. If anyone has recently had a paper published or is working on a specific research project which they wish to present at future SoBEE seminars please do get in touch. All PhD students are also encouraged to present, as the seminars are designed to be a forum in which to practise presentation skills and receive feedback. Open to staff and students, please register your attendance by emailing Sam Zulu on s.zulu@leedsbeckett.ac.uk.
