At Leeds Beckett University we are committed to women’s sport and supporting participation in sport at all levels.

We are proud to be working in partnership with the Yorkshire Jets netball team. Netball is a growing sport in the UK with participation from women of all ages and backgrounds (Sport England Active People’s Survey).

Yorkshire Jets are one of eight UK netball teams who play in the Vitality Netball Superleague and in 2015 they finished third.

Our Head Netball Coach, Anna Carter, is the Yorkshire Jets’ Head Coach and the squad includes current students and England U21 international players Lydia Walker and Jess Shaw, as well as alumnus and vice-captain Kylie Paynter.

Throughout the 2016 season we will be welcoming our supporters, and supporters and players from other teams, to our Headingley Campus, where the Yorkshire Jets will be playing the majority of their home games.
