Profile

Esmée is a researcher within the Centre for Health Promotion in the School of Health and Community Studies at Leeds Beckett University. Having completed a PhD in Sociology at Leeds in University in 2012, Esmée has subsequently worked in a variety of academic roles including at Leeds University and the Open University. Her research focuses on men’s experiences of fatherhood, specifically understanding men’s experiences of infertility and exploring support for young men who are fathers and she has published widely in these and related areas. Esmée sits on Academic Board for the university as a research staff member and is also a trustee of the North East Young Dads and Lads project in Gateshead.
