Dorron is a member of the following Committees:

Dorron is a Principal Lecturer in Economics and has been working for the University since 1991. While Dorron regards himself as first and foremost a teacher, he has also taken a wide range of academic management responsibilities ranging from Course Leader and Subject Group Leader to Associate Dean.
For most of his time Dorron has been a member of the Business School but his eclectic interests in political economy has meant that he has worked extensively in the social science area.
He played a leading role in establishing the School of Applied Global Ethics and what has now become the Politics and Applied Global Ethics group within the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences. His main academic interests are in the areas of the political economy of global development.
