Graduate Success Stories

Piers Aggett and Kesi Dryden

Piers Aggett and Kesi Dryden arrived at our University to pursue their passion for music. We’re glad they did - just a few years later they were celebrating two No.1 hits in the UK charts.

The pair formed electronic music quartet Rudimental in 2010 with fellow songwriters and producers Amir Amor and DJ Locksmith. Piers and Kesi haven’t looked back, storming the UK charts in 2012 with their track ‘Feel The Love’ and in 2013 with ‘Waiting All Night.’

“Getting a No.1 in our own country was unreal,” says Piers. “We’ve been all over the world and the success has definitely changed our lives. We’re now able to do our dream job full-time.”

The pair were recently back on campus to speak with current students and were both full of praise for the music facilities we offer.

Kesi said: “The music studios here are second to none. One of the things I enjoyed most was the opportunity to remix songs. That was right up our street and one of the highlights of the course – it’s what we love doing.”
