How to Apply

We welcome applications from all international students. To apply please submit the application form through the following link:

As part of the application we ask you write a personal statement.  This section should be approximately 300-500 words and should include the reasons why you want to attend the Leeds Beckett International Summer School. This information will be used to assess your suitability. It might be useful for you to include what your aspirations are for the future and what you hope to gain from the Leeds Beckett International Summer School experience.

Application process

To be eligible to apply you must:

  1. Be aged between 16 and 18 years old on 9 July 2017
  2. Have an appropriate level of English
  3. Obtain consent from parents / guardians. We will send you the necessary documentation upon acceptance of an offer.

We ask that all applicants have achieved an English Language qualification equivalent to IELTS 4.5 overall to ensure that all students can easily communicate with each other, the summer school staff and teachers.  This will ensure that you get the best that you can out of the whole experience. For safety reasons it is also really important that everyone taking part in our summer school has a good basic level of English.

What to include with your application

Once you have submitted the application form, please email the following documents to iss@leedsbeckett.ac.uk:

  • Photocopy of your passport.
  • Photocopy of your IELTS Certificate (or equivalent qualification).

We will let all applicants know whether their application has been successful by May 2017.
