Yes. The Leeds Beckett International Summer School schedule and staffing will comply with the Leeds Beckett University ‘Safeguarding Policy’. This policy is informed by the requirements of the British Council with regard to provision of English Language Education to under 18s. The policy is available to view here. All summer school staff and student ambassadors have undertaken Safeguarding and Child Protection training.
All accommodation, transport and meals will be provided for your time in Leeds. However, if you wish to buy gifts or additional snacks for example, you will need to bring your own spending money.
Yes. University staff will stay overnight at your accommodation to provide support at any time needed. Our University accommodation also has 24 hour security staff on premises.
If you think that you are going to arrive in Leeds after or before the official arrival date of Monday 10 July please contact us directly at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will let you know whether this will be possible.
No, unfortunately we are only able to offer accommodation and programme activities to Leeds Beckett International Summer School students. If your parent(s) will be accompanying you to the UK we are happy to provide recommendations for hotels or private accommodation in the local area.
