Our Research Projects
Business MENTOR training and CERTification
MentorCERT is a transnational project that seeks to improve the quality of business mentors for small businesses. It is a study that engages academia and practitioners in the co-production of a framework to benchmark different levels of mentor expertise that correspond with the different phases of growth and development of small and medium sized enterprises.
The project promotes university-business partnerships through the development of intelligence to enable business mentors to operate in clusters of strategic importance to regional economies such as the FinTech sector. MentorCert seeks to establish capability levels for business mentors and move towards international certification of business mentoring compliant with ISO 17024 standards. The project is funded under the European Commission Erasmus Strategic Partnerships from November 2017-October 2019.
