At the law school we run various competitions throughout the year and offer a number of prizes to encourage involvement in school initiatives and reward exceptional academic performance. Prizes range from book vouchers and cash prizes to work placements in a law firm. Law firms and organisations that have sponsored our prizes in the past include:
Mooting is an important part of advancing your advocacy and debating skills. Our mooting competitions are set up to simulate real court hearings (usually an appeal against a final decision) and all held in our Courtroom.
During these sessions, students are asked to analyse a problem, researching the corresponding law, prepare written submissions and finally publicly present their argument and findings.
