LGBT History Month upcoming events
29 January 2015
February is LGBT History Month so a good time to celebrate our diverse staff and student community.
This year more so as we enter the top 100 Stonewall* Employers at number 51.
Our University has an active Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) forum which is open to staff and students who work closely with our Equality & Diversity team and our Students' Union.
During February, there will be events organised, a display of LGBT resources in our libraries will be available from 1 February and on Wednesday 4 February Matteo Lissano from Stonewall provided feedback at a session at City Campus on our entry in their top 100 employers. Also on 4 February, our Vice Chancellor, Professor Susan Price signed the No Bystanders Pledge and was presented with a certificate by Stonewall's Sarah Foster on behalf of staff and students at our Student Hub.
Upcoming and previous LGBT activities can be viewed on the LGBT forum web pages and on our Library Pinterest site.
