19 January 2018
The National Student Survey (NSS) is coming to our University from 29 January 2018 to the 30 April 2018 and is available to final year undergraduate students to complete. The survey is your opportunity to tell us about your student experience. Your opinions matter and can lead to real change here at Leeds Beckett.

NSS results are made publicly available to help prospective students, their families and advisors make informed decisions of where and what to study, so don't miss your opportunity to be heard.
Why get involved?
By completing the survey, you are telling us about your own experiences and helping future students make the right choices about where and what to study.
We need as many people as possible to get involved and fill in their survey – the results are very important to us and help us continuously improve the Leeds Beckett student experience, so your contribution really does matter.
How do I take part?
If you are a student in the final year of your undergraduate course, you will receive an email from Ipsos MORI on 1 February 2018 to your University email account, inviting you to complete the survey online.
You will also be able to complete the survey via a link on the ‘Course’ tab of your MyBeckett portal or via the main NSS webpage, www.studentsurvey.com. The survey should take no more than 5-10 minutes to complete and you will be asked a range of questions about:
- The academic support you received during your studies
- How you felt about the organisation and management of your programme
- Any positive and/or negative comments you have about your experience
- The learning resources you may have used whilst studying with us
Your answers and comments are confidential and will not be passed on to your course teams other than as summary results. Your contact details won't be used for any other purpose.
If you don’t respond to the invitation email to take part, you may receive a follow up email, text, letter or phone call from Ipsos MORI.
As a ‘thank you!’
All of our students who complete the survey fully, will receive a thank you email for completing the survey. Please either print or show this email to the Student Experience Team in either of the Student Hubs or the Gateway and in exchange you will receive a free special edition Leeds Beckett University ‘Class of 2018’ t-shirt.
You may also choose to pledge £1 to one of three selected charities supporting refugees in Leeds. Leeds Beckett will make this donation on your behalf. The charities we are supporting are:
- St George’s Crypt
- PAFRAS (Positive Action for Refugees and Asylum Seekers)
- Leeds Asylum Seekers Support Network
So come on final years, don't miss out on your opportunity to be part of a national student voice and shape the future here at Leeds Beckett.
Go to www.studentsurvey.com to complete the survey now.
