Leeds Beckett PhD students present their Summer Pain Showcase

Dr Ghazala Tabasam, Senior Lecturer in Human Physiology, will welcome attendees at the Summer Pain Showcase of PhD student work taking place in the Centre for Pain Research.
The event will be held on Friday 14 July, 13:00-16:15, 311 Calverley, City Campus
Contributions on the day will be presented in three sessions; Pain and MENA (Middle East and North Africa); Pain and Musculoskeletal Health; and Pain Management Interventions.
Topics covered include: Using an Arabic version of the Leeds Assessment of Neuropathic Pain Symptoms and Signs pain scale with patients with diabetes in Libya; Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) for musculoskeletal pain in Saudi Arabia; Kinesiology taping for thermal and post-exercise pain; Transcranial alternating current stimulation and analgesia; mirror therapy and pain perception; and an internet-based intervention for post-surgical pain in breast cancer.
The presentations will be followed by a debate about the issues arising facilitated by Dr Osama Tashani, Dr Ghazala Tabasam and Professor Mark Johnson.
