Microsoft Office 365 – free for all students
8 September 2017 - Nick Boothroyd
The university provides Microsoft Office 365 products for free to all students so there is no need to purchase these yourself.
New and returning students can utilise Microsoft Office Online tools including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote and OneDrive while also retaining access to Google tools such as Google Calendars, Google Docs and Google Drive.
You can access up to five free licences to install Microsoft Office 2016 on PCs and Macs, enjoy unlimited access to Office online apps and utilise up to 1TB of cloud storage on OneDrive for Business.
All Leeds Beckett students get an Office 365 email account with 50GB of mailbox storage.
If you are a returning student your existing email account migrated from Gmail to Office 365 on 7 September.
Emails, contacts and any other applied categories have been moved across to the new accounts. Email addresses and log in details remain the same and you will still be able to view an archived version of the old Gmail account until 15 December
Visit the Library’s Office 365 support pages for guidance on how to download the software, system requirements and additional information.
