PwC partner to host Beckett business lecture
The event entitled ‘Your region. Your future. #YorkshireMatters’ will take place at the Rose Bowl building in the city centre from 6-7pm on Tuesday 25 October. Part of the University’s wider annual series of business-themed lectures sponsored by Yorkshire Bank, it is free and open to the public. Places must be booked online here.
Named as one of the Top 50 Northern Power Women for 2016, Karen is based at PwC in Leeds, and heads up the Internal Audit practice and Health Industry team across the north, leading a multi-skilled team of professionals who work with a number of high profile clients delivering complex solutions to their business needs.
Specialising in internal audit, governance and risk, Karen, who has more than 20 years’ experience and is a member of PwC’s UK Public Sector Health board, heads the largest regional internal practice outside of London serving clients in the public, private and financial services sectors.
Her team support health clients across the region, grappling with the challenge of integrating health and social care to make the health system more sustainable and improve patient care.
Externally, Karen is Lay Chair member of the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust board and chairs some of the Advisory Appointment Committees responsible for appointing medical and dental consultants. Listed as one of the Top 50 Northern Power Women in 2016, Karen is committed to improving diversity and valuing difference in the workplace.
