Beckett Choir Christmas concert
9 November 2017 - Nick Boothroyd
Beckett Choir’s Christmas concert will be held on Thursday 7 December at 19:30 in the grand surroundings of the Great Hall at Headingley Campus with all staff and students welcome.
The concert will feature a mix of festive favourites and lesser known pieces including 'Last Christmas', 'O Little Town of Bethlehem', 'Jingle Bell Rock' as well as an original composition from The School of Film, Music and Performing Arts Dean, Andrew Fryer.
The festive celebration with Phoenix Concert Band is always popular, and refreshments are available for donations during the interval.
The group aims to raise some funds for the local Sue Ryder hospice in Headingley, Wheatfields, with the remainder and proceeds from the raffle (tickets cost £1 a strip) helping Beckett Choir continue to provide a place for music lovers to come together.
Tickets are now available and cost £4 for students and under 16s, and £7 for adults.
They can be purchased by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com, in person from Fern Pullan in BPA 211 in Broadcasting Place (City) or Liz Wright in 107 The Grange (Headingley), or on the door.
