Leeds Beckett crowned Battle of the North champions
The event saw sports clubs from both institutions compete across 19 fixtures at Leeds Beckett’s Headingley Campus on Wednesday 3 April, with Leeds Beckett claiming an emphatic victory, winning 15 of the 19 fixtures.

Battle of the North offers students who will be graduating from both institutions the opportunity to represent their sports teams for the final time before they graduate in the Summer.
Leeds Rhinos star Brett Ferres was the official guest of honour for the event and handed out the Battle of the North trophy to Leeds Beckett’s Athletic Union president Joshua Schofield.
Leeds Beckett Club Development Officer Jo Mannion said: “It was great to see so many staff and student enjoy what was a wonderful day.
“I would like to thank everyone involved who helped to make this day happen and congratulate the Leeds Beckett teams and coaches on an outstanding overall result.”
