Email marketing is a powerful digital marketing tool that allows you to communicate with your customers on their terms and at their pace. This makes it an incredibly effective strategy that is also cost-effective.

You will look at the underlying principles of designing and building a successful email campaign, study some of the marketing techniques used with HTML emails and construct an email from scratch. 

You will also explore common issues to contend with from spam filters and personalisation to measuring a campaign’s success, and the major email marketing sending services and the features and benefits they offer. 

By the end of the course you will be confident in managing and producing all aspects of an email marketing campaign and will have learned what works from a design point of view, helping you to develop your own business emails. 

On completion of this course you will be able to:

  • Understand the common issues when you create HTML email.
  • Learn what works from a design point of view.
  • Become confident in managing and producing all aspects of an email marketing campaign.

Suitable For

Ideally suited to those that have some experience of email marketing and would like to better understand and take their campaigns to the next level.

Prerequisites

A basic understanding of HTML and CSS with some exposure to email marketing. Although it isn’t a requirement, skills to the level of our HTML & CSS course would be advantageous.

Dave EllisDave is a digital designer with over 16 years’ experience helping digital/ web agencies with heavy workloads and producing online solutions directly for clients.

Focusing on high-quality design and intelligent ideas, his skills cover a range of digital services, including brand consulting and identity work, web design, content marketing, reactive and real-time marketing, and ultimately anything that’s delivered online.

He has designed websites for the likes of Disney, Nickelodeon, Guinness, BBC and many more. He’s appeared in numerous industry magazines along the way such as Net Magazine, Web Designer and has even appeared in publications in Japan.
