HTML5 and CSS3 together enable web designers and developers to create structured and flexible web content, and this course is all about helping you learn HTML5 code and CSS3 techniques.

HTML5 is an evolution of the HTML standard, adding new elements, new attributes, video and audio, and more.

CSS3 is used in conjunction with HTML5 to add effects to page elements and even create animated effects without the need for browser plug ins or JavaScript.

Content can be made to respond to different devices, screen size and orientation, which is important for both desktop and mobile websites and applications. This course will bring you quickly up to speed with these key technologies which underpin the web.

After this course you will be able to create structured, responsive content for devices across platforms, including mobile devices, adding video and audio to your web pages.

Suitable for

Web designers and developers who want the skills to use these key new technologies for creating dynamic, flexible content for devices across platforms, including mobile which accounts for an increasing volume of web traffic.

You will have a basic level of HTML and CSS skills. We will spend a lot of time converting older HTML page structures to make use of HTML5 features, so you should be comfortable with editing HTML Markup.
