PRINCE2® is the internationally-recognised benchmark certification for project managers and support staff and is often a pre-requisite for members of major projects across the public and private sector. This five day PRINCE2® course leads to PRINCE2® Practitioner certification.

You will be introduced to the links between generic Project Management at a fundamental level and the principles, themes and processes of PRINCE2®. The implications of using PRINCE2® pragmatically are explored to enable you to assess how PRINCE2® may be blended into your organisations to successfully manage and control projects. The course deals with topics comprehensively and includes both the Foundation and Practitioner level examinations.

On completion of this PRINCE2® Practitioner Course you will be able to:

  • Understand the key elements of the PRINCE2® project management methodology.
  • Implement these techniques in your organisation, improving efficiency and saving time and money.
  • Work within a PRINCE2® project environment and tender for work on PRINCE2® projects.
  • Gain internationally-recognised PRINCE2® certification.

NTI is an Affiliate of Training ByteSize and we are registered as such on the AXELOS website. We are therefore accredited to deliver:

  • The PRINCE2® Foundation Certificate, an entry-level qualification for individuals requiring an introduction to best practice approach to managing a project. This qualification is a prerequisite for those intending to take the Practitioner’s certificate. On this course, this one hour multiple choice is taken on Wednesday afternoon and the results are marked and fed back to you by your tutor afterwards.
  • The PRINCE2® Practitioner Certificate, the higher qualification recognising an individual’s expertise in the industry and targeted at experienced project management professionals. You take this two and a half hour objective test on Friday morning. This is automatically marked externally. Results are available in 2-3 weeks.
  • More detailed information about PRINCE2® is available on the AXELOS website. AXELOS are a global examination institute. Their website has useful FAQ section as well as a host of other information.

Suitable for

The course is ideal for project managers, team leaders and project support officers working within a PRINCE2® project environment.

Prerequisites

You will have project management experience, either from working in that role or as a senior team member. If you have limited experience consider our APM Introductory Certificate in Project Management course.

The price is fully inclusive of the manual, training materials and both the Foundation and Practitioner examination fees.

Attending the Course


Pre course preparation

We will send out a pre-course pack which has approximately 20 hours of reading and some quizzes. While you are attending the PRINCE2® Practitioner Course you will have reading to do each evening. The course is intensive and aims to provide you with the best possible preparation for your professional examination.

The course starts at 09:30 and finishes at 17:00, Monday - Thursday. On the Friday you will take the Practitioner Examination and will finish at midday.

We are open from 09:00 for tea and coffee.

Refreshments will be available and lunch will be provided from Monday – Thursday.

What will I learn?

You will:

  • Understand the principles, themes, processes, products and techniques of PRINCE2®.
  • Consider the practical application issues of using and tailoring aspects of the PRINCE2® method.
  • Assess the implications and benefits of introducing PRINCE2®.
  • Develop knowledge to a level that enables success in the PRINCE2® examinations.
  • Have the confidence and competence to practice the method in a live project environment.
