Visiting Scholars Programme

Visiting Scholars Programme

We are delighted to invite scholars from around the world to participate in our Visiting Scholars Programme. We can provide research mentoring, shared office and desk space, and access to local library facilities, which include (as well as Leeds Beckett University library), access to the Brotherton Library (University of Leeds), Leeds City library, the Leeds Library (the oldest surviving proprietary subscription library in the UK), and the Boston Spa Reading Room of the British Library.

Our visiting scholar for semester 2 2013-14 was Viviane D'Ávila Heidenreich, from the Federal University of Santa Catarina in Brazil. Viviane was working on the novelist Olive Schreiner with Centre historian Dr Helen Dampier, examining Schreiner's fiction from a postcolonial perspective.
