Funding and Grants

"We find membership to be of great value and make use of the Ask the Experts service, links with academia and the events in particular. We are also confident in discussing our future needs, knowing that integrity and discretion are core values of The Retail Institute team."

Bruce Funnell - Nestle PTC York

The Retail Institute have access to a wide range of funding streams for companies of all sizes, based in the UK and Europe.

Working on behalf of our clients to identify those that are relevant and practicable for the retail and packaging sectors, the Retail Institute can secure a range of funding opportunities for employers of all sizes. The team works with industry, as well as research organisations and policymakers.

A particular funding scheme of interest to many companies is Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs); a UK-wide programme helping businesses to improve their competitiveness and productivity through the better use of knowledge, technology and skills that reside within the UK Knowledge Base.

A KTP serves to meet a core strategic need and identifies innovative solutions to help businesses grow. KTPs often deliver significant increased profitability for business partners as a direct result of the partnership through improved quality and operations, increased sales and access to new markets.
