The MSc Occupational Therapy is an accelerated two year pre-registration programme accredited by the College of Occupational Therapists (COT) and approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the World Federation of Occupational Therapists.

At it's 2016 re-approval the programme received commendations from the HCPC and the COT for its learning experience, high employability, research and its applied clinical philosophy. Our programme offers small cohorts using a problem-based learning curriculum. Many of our staff are members of the Higher Education Academy and the curriculum content, and its delivery are innovative, creating clinical-scholars for practice now and in the future. The teaching staff have all worked in senior clinical and managerial roles in healthcare services and are engaged in research and enterprise activities. As well as staff being published in journals and books a number of MSc Occupational Therapy students have published their research in international peer reviewed journals and spoken at national conferences.

The MSc Occupational Therapy programme has a student-led end of course conference which students, clinicians, researcher and special guests presenting. In 2014 we were delighted to host HRH Princess Royal at the conference. Our graduates have excellent employability prospects, with 100% of graduates in work and/or further study six months after finishing (DLHE 2015/16). A number of students have been successful at gaining registration and employment in Australia, Canada and the USA.
