Our pre-16 programmes and support
Our Access & Widening Participation team organise a wide range of projects for schoolchildren which aim to instil them with the confidence to progress to and succeed in higher education (HE).
Our outreach work begins with primary-age pupils, ensuring young people aspire to progress to HE at an early age, and continues to develop through secondary education so that students are equipped with the skills and knowledge required to make informed choices about HE.
The interactive activities we offer aim to build confidence, teamwork and communication sills. They also offer a 'light-touch' insight into university course options, life as a student, student finance and careers after HE.
We also offer programmes and activities for specific target groups, notably care-experienced children and black and minority ethnic groups.
