Fitness Centres (Gyms)

Overview

Our recently refurbished Headingley and City Campus Fitness Centres offer a wide range of cardiovascular and resistance machines, as well as modern functional training equipment, in order to help you to get a balanced workout. Many of the cardiovascular machines come with TVs and audio systems, so you can watch your favourite shows or listen to your music player whilst you work out! A combination of our qualified staff and our branded equipment will help you get the best from your training, helping you to get or keep fit whilst at university.

Before you can access the fitness centres, all users must first watch the induction video to ensure you know how to use the equipment safely and correctly. Once you have seen the video (below), you then need to sign a Health Commitment Statement at either of the facilities so we know you are ok to carry out a form of exercise. Once you have done this, you will be able to start using the facility straight away.
