Swimming Lessons

Swimming Lessons Overview

Our University provides a balanced programme, specialising in stroke technique, delivered by our fully qualified, experienced and committed teachers and coaches.

We offer sessions for a range of ages and abilities, from age three to adults, via our Duckling Awards and ASA (Amateur Swimming Association) Awards.

  • Duckling Awards - Levels 1-5
  • ASA Swim Beginners – Levels 1-5
  • ASA Swim Improvers – Levels 3-6
  • ASA Intermediate – Level 7

For more information on the outcomes of each award, please see the Swimming Stages section below.

Speciality Courses

We also provide speciality courses (Rookie Lifeguard - Bronze, Silver and Gold and Freestylers) for those who wish to progress from the level 7 award to develop their skills further.

Private lessons: 1-1 or 1-2 Sessions (3 years+)

We offer private lessons with our instructors for up to two people at the same time. It is beneficial if they are both of similar ability. The smaller ratio of students to instructor allows for more feedback and specific instruction. These sessions are available for both adults and children.
