Cheerleading is a new and upcoming sport in the UK. Cheerleading consists of stunts, jumps, dance and tumbling as well as being great for those who love to perform.

Carnegie Cheerleading had a very successful 17/18 season with their level 3 coed team winning two national champion titles, as well as their all girl level 2 team hitting zero.

Carnegie Cheerleading is a great team to join if you want to develop or learn new skills meanwhile creating friendships that last a lifetime.

We will be at Freshers Fair on the 19th September so please come along to ask us any questions you may have. We will also be holding a taster session on the 25th September and tryouts on the 28th September.

Successful team members will need to purchase their own performance kit.

You do not need any previous experience to be part of Carnegie Cheerleading.

Plus Icon Cheerleading Competition training schedule

Carnegie have two teams which train Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays at level up academy. Level up holds a full sprung floor, tumbling tracks and pits. 

Leeds Beckett Match Team Cheerleaders perform at AU club fixtures throughout the year including Varsity in front of 15,000 people. We train twice weekly and get involved in all sorts of other events socially.

Match Team is all about fun, we are a close knit group with friendship and inclusivity at our core, welcoming anyone and everyone, with no prior experience needed, we just want to have fun and we want everyone to be a part of that.

Headingley Campus CRI Hall, twice weekly (Monday or Tuesday & Thursdays.

Plus Icon Any pre-requisites for joining?

No prior experience needed although trials will identify ability to pick up choreography and ability to stunt. (Don’t worry lots of us had never done Cheerleading before!)

Plus Icon Any equipment or kit required/is equipment supplied?

No equipment needed until a place on the team is secured then you will need to purchase your own performance kit.
