About Alan Combs
Alan is a Chartered Certified Accountant and Senior Lecturer in the Accounting and Finance Subject Group of Leeds Business School. His interests range across Financial Reporting, Corporate Social Responsibility and Integrated Reporting, Auditing and Taxation. He teaches financial reporting from introductory to postgraduate level, and taxation and enterprise as final year undergraduate option modules. He is a personal tutor on the BA(hons) Accounting and Finance degree. In previous years he has been course leader of BA(hons) International Business, collaborating with partners in France, Germany and Norway, and making teaching visits to the Netherlands and China.
Alan's early professional career was with independent accountancy practices in the south west of England, most recently Morris Owen in Swindon, followed by a spell as a computer audit specialist in one of the "big four" international practices.
