Part-time Lecturer
An Online Learning Tutor, working to enhance our Digital Pedagogy and the taught experience of our post-graduate Distance Learners; Andrea also develops online programmes in Inclusive Pedagogy and teaches 'Literacy Difficulties and Dyslexia' within MA Inclusive Practice in Education.
Andrea has worked with neurodiverse adults and children with learning differences in Primary, Secondary, FE and HE contexts since 1996 and as a Dyslexia and Literacy Specialist since 2011.
Before joining the School of Education, she worked privately as a Dyslexia and Literacy specialist, for Dyslexia Action and also for North Yorkshire's Inclusive Education Service, assessing pupils and advising SENCOs in Primary and Secondary schools.
She is passionate about social justice in education and the potential for inclusive and digital pedagogy to challenge socio-cultural barriers and transform the learning experience of those with learning differences and/or disabilities.
