Procter

Dave is currently undertaking his PhD researching Scandinavian Noise Music Scenes and his own place within them. His ethnographic study takes place in seven cities in Denmark, Norway and Sweden. He collaborates with many practitioners and encourages the performance of noise music in non-traditional, public spaces such as parks, libraries, under canal/railway/subway bridges and in derelict buildings.

Dave is a prolific live performer and sound artist, with practice in the fields of spoken word, folk, post-punk, drone, noise and harsh noise, appearing throughout the UK and EU under a number of pseudonyms. He is part of the team that curates the Leeds experimental art/music night Hogwash and co-organises the Sound | Space | Response experimental music night at Left Bank Leeds. He has worked as a Visiting Lecturer at Högskolan Dalarna in Sweden and held sonic art and performance workshops in Århus, Prague and Vilnius.
