About Dr Nick Sutcliffe
Nick's research interests are associated with research student supervision, Higher Education in Further Education establishments and student assessment.
Nick has presented papers on his work at both national and international conferences and is a member of the European Association for Institutional Research and has been an Economic and Social Sciences Research Council Project Rapporteur.
In addition to being a current QAA Reviewer, he has also examined doctoral theses at Leeds Beckett University and at other universities.
Nick currently teaches on the MA in Educational Leadership and the Professional Doctorate in Education (EdD) and he supervises both EdD and PhD students.
Nick's current research is associated with the ways in which recent changes in fee funding and governance have changed the nature of the relationship between universities and colleges who offer higher education awards. The initial findings of this research were presented in his paper Collaborators or Competitors? The changing face of Higher Education and Further Education Partnerships at the European Association for Institutional Research 34th Annual Forum held at the University of Stavanger, Norway.
