About Professor Mike Brown

Professor D Michael Brown, Mike, joined Leeds Business School in 2015 from Birmingham and formally Nottingham institutions. His key areas of interest are related to Corporate Reputation for which he has produced Britain’s Most Admired Companies (BMAC) Research since 1990.

BMAC research is an annual peer perception survey with UK leading business executives and investment analysts. These are the two key stakeholder groups who should be aware not only of their own business but also of those business around them.

In addition Mike has also written about learning in general, distinguishing it from teaching. In particular he is interested in concepts that help to improve the learning experience of post graduate participants; experiential learning, action based learning and Practice Intelligence. This later term is one that a small group of international colleagues in the UK and US have identified as a means of stretching the learning concepts onto a new level.
