About Tiana Harper
A senior lecturer and year leader, Tiana trained as a producer/director at the Northern Film School and as a screenwriter at Royal Holloway, University of London before working in the film, television and performance industries for several years in producing, directing, scriptwriting and performance coaching roles.
Tiana’s career has spanned documentary, advertising and comedy and drama, and every size of project, from feature films for Miramax, 20th Century Fox and Disney, television for Channel 4, Discovery and Nickelodeon to a one-woman fringe theatre play. She received an Emmy citation for VFX production on 'The Life and Death of Peter Sellers.'
Tiana also holds an MA in Actor Training from Royal Holloway, University of London, and runs short courses in actor training and in screenwriting. She specializes in creating learning environments where students are encouraged to develop their creativity and their practical craft conjointly.
Research interests include training actors and non-actors for performance; Feldenkrais as an actor-training and ensemble device and the ethics of the practitioner as teacher in the creative industries.
