Your campus card (or student ID) is your key to on-campus facilities and services.

On this page you’ll find information about what you’ll need your campus card for, how to get one if you’re a new student or if you need a replacement, and guidelines on providing a suitable photo for your card.

What is my campus card and what do I need it for?

When you start a new course for the first time, most students will receive a student campus card. Your card contains details about you, such as your name, your username and when your card expires. It also contains a photo for identification purposes. Your campus card is essential for accessing key facilities and services on campus. You will need your card for:

  • Access to certain buildings

  • Printing while on campus
  • Access to sports facilities
  • Library access
  • Proof of student status for exams

All you need to know if you are a new student or colleague to Leeds Beckett University

If you are commencing your studies in January 2024 you should upload a suitable photograph to Online Welcome by Sunday 7 January

The photo you upload must adhere to the following guidelines:
  • Be similar to a passport photo (but not a photo of your passport)
  • Be a head and shoulders image
  • Be a recent photo (we must be able to recognise it is you)
  • Be a colour photo
  • It must contain only you in the frame (no group photos or animals)
  • Filters must not be applied - e.g. Snapchat
  • You must be facing towards the camera and looking directly at it
  • Be appropriately dressed (no hats, sunglasses, and no shower selfies please!)
  • You can smile!
