Enrolment

Most students need to enrol using our Online Welcome & Enrolment service. We will send you an email when it’s time for you to complete the process.

All Students - Enrolling on your course
If you are studying on a course where you are not required to enrol online the Student Administrator for your course should be sending you details about how you need to complete the enrolment process.

If you require a visa to study in the UK, you must complete your ‘International Check in’ before you will be permitted to enrol (please see the ‘International Students’ section of this page below for further details)

If you’re at all unsure whether you’ve successfully enrolled, get in touch with your student administrator to check. You can find your student administrator‘s contact details by emailing The Welcome Team.
Undergraduate Students in Receipt of Student Loans

In order to release your maintenance loan you must have first enrolled online using our Online Welcome & Enrolment service.

All new students are required to complete an Identity Check (or ID Check). The ID check can be completed before or after you have completed the online enrolment process but if you fail to complete your check, the university will not consider you to be fully enrolled. This will mean the university is unable to confirm your attendance to the Student Loans Company and you may face delays in the payment of maintenance and living expenses from the Student Loans Company as a result.

To complete the check, you need to attend the ‘ID Check in’ session for your course at the designated time and place and present your original passport, birth certificate or adoption certificate (or a certified copy of either) to confirm your identity. Further information about how a document may be certified can be found here. If necessary, certification can also be provided through the Post Office Document Certification Service. Further details about this service can be found here or at your local post office.

You can find out when the ID check in session is for your course by clicking on the ‘Course Induction and Welcome Information’ under ‘My Links’ on your Welcome homepage.
If you are unable to access this information within the ‘Course Induction and Welcome Information’, you are advised to contact the Student Administrator for your course or welcome@leedsbeckett.ac.uk who can help you to find the details or further information.

‘Off Campus’ Students

If you are a student who is not expected to visit any of the Leeds Beckett University campuses (such as Distance Learners). You are able to post ‘certified copies’ of your original passport, birth certificate or adoption certificate to the Student Administrator for your course (you are strongly advised not to send original documents to the university through the post as these may not be returned).

Further information about how a document may be certified can be found here. If necessary, certification can also be provided through the Post Office Document Certification Service. Further details about this service can be found here or at your local post office.

If you do not have one of these forms of ID, please contact us for further help.
