Lost Property


All lost property is held by security on the relevant campus.

All Lost property goes to Security and both campuses.  Any lost items which are either handed in to security or collected from other receptions or the student hub can be reclaimed at either of the security receptions.

All lost property is held for two months, if unclaimed after a two month period the property will be donated to charity.

However, passports, bankcards and driving licences are only held for one week.  In line with the Passport, DVLA and Banking processes we adhere to.  After one week the passports are returned to the passport office, driving licences to the DVLA and in the case of bank cards these are destroyed in line with the Financial banking policy.

Security Services will make every effort to identify the owners of lost property, so it is advisable to keep your contact details marked on items such as books, papers, diaries and memory sticks, which are the most commonly lost items. 

If you lose your ID card, Security Services can contact you via the Student Hub, so please make sure that your contact details are up-to-date.
