Why our students return to halls:
1. “Halls life is better when you want to make new friends”
“Halls life is better when you want to make new friends and socialise. It's also safer and it's a great environment. I chose halls again because I wanted to make the most out of my student life and a house doesn't feel as cosy.”
Eliza
BA Hons Journalism
Sugarwell Court
2. “Low price compared to other accommodations”
“The main reason I chose to stay in Sugarwell Court is the low price compared to other accommodations that I found. It is also relatively secure as it is managed by the university. This is my third year in Sugarwell and I enjoyed the calm and clean environment so far as well as the quick response to any issues that I encountered so far regarding the flat, appliances and flatmates.”
Eusebiu
BA Product Design

3. “Very close to campus”
“Woodhouse Flats is a good distance to Uni. The parking is great and I didn't mind being put with strangers again. There is also minimal hassle with regards to bills.”

4. “I’m studying abroad next semester”
“I wasn’t back into the country till half way through September as I work in the US in the summer so it would cost a lot when I’m not here. I also applied to study in Australia second semester so I did not want to commit to a contract if I wouldn’t be here”
Brittany

5. “Once my rent has been paid, I don’t have to worry”
“Reception staff are always welcoming and respond appropriately to your queries! The maintenance team are accessible and thorough. Not to mention very patient (the amount of times I’ve locked myself out of my flat is ridiculous!). You’ll meet some good people that make great friends.”

“I commuted for my second year, so returning back to halls in my final year gave me that fresh new world feeling again, like when you first move to university and start your new life. At student halls, there is 24hr security and I've never felt safer.”
