Career planning

As a member of our alumni community you have access to careers advice and support for up to five years after your graduation. Our career consultants are here to support you in all aspects of career planning, including helping you to write effective job applications.

You can drop in with quick queries, or for a more in-depth discussion, you can book a one-to-one appointment. These can be conducted face-to-face, on the phone or via Skype.

Our career consultants can help you with:

  • Career planning.
  • Writing CVs and applications.
  • Developing your online presence.
  • Preparing for interviews and assessment centres.
  • Exploring your postgraduate study options, and more.
We are here to support graduates with all aspects of career planning & decision making, along with helping you to recognise and develop your employability skills.

This can be anything from career planning and understanding options with your degree, writing CVs and applications, developing a good on-line presence, help with interviews, and applying for further study (including teacher training), to searching for jobs and understanding how to make the most of graduate fairs, and plenty more!
