What inspired you to study Broadcast Media Technologies?

Before I came to university I volunteered as a radio producer and online music journalist. The combination of TV and radio production, alongside the investigative nature of documentary making drew me to the course.

What would you like to do after you graduate?

Whether it’s TV or radio that I go into, I know that I would like to work on the technical side. My aim is to either become a camera operator or a radio producer when I finish.

The impact Paul Wilmott had on the university and the success that he had in his career has inspired me. I feel like I could try and follow in his footsteps throughout my time here and carry this on in my future.

How will the scholarship help you?

The scholarship has been a huge help to me. As a commuting student I have used it to help cover my travel costs from Halifax to Leeds, taking the stress of getting to university away. The scholarship will also help me make the most of my studies with additional resources and law textbooks.
