Why did you choose to study English Literature?

I enjoyed studying English Literature at A level. I also think this is the best route for me to take to become a successful teacher. I specifically want to work in special educational needs, helping disabled children feel more included in their education.

“It is important to me to have a successful future so that I can inspire my younger sibling to attend university as well.”

Why did you apply to the Bright Futures Scholarship?

I live in halls and I currently work part-time to make sure I have enough to live on. Working and studying is hard to balance, which makes me quite anxious.

The scholarship will give me more confidence in myself and my studies. I am the first in my family to attend university. It is important to me to have a successful future so that I can inspire my younger sibling to attend university as well.
